scan_system_junk Read-only

Scan for junk files (caches, logs, temp, leftovers) and report how many bytes can be reclaimed.

clean_system_junk Asks first

Delete the safe junk files (caches, logs, temp, leftovers) to free up disk space. Only safely-removable items are deleted — risky or system items are never touched.

find_large_files Read-only

Find the largest files, optionally under a specific folder (defaults to the home folder).

find_duplicate_files Read-only

Find duplicate files by content (sha-256), optionally under a folder (defaults to home). Reports duplicate groups and wasted space.

delete_duplicate_files Asks first

Find duplicate files in a folder and delete the redundant copies (keeping one original of each), freeing the wasted space.

list_maintenance_tasks Read-only

List Cyclone's macOS maintenance tasks (rebuild Spotlight, repair permissions, maintenance scripts…) and whether each is fresh (= genuinely run within the last 7 days). Maintenance freshness feeds the Dashboard health score.

run_maintenance_task Asks first

Run one named Cyclone maintenance task from list_maintenance_tasks (e.g. 'Rebuild Spotlight Index'). Some tasks ask for the admin password — if the user cancels, the task is skipped and reported honestly.

uninstall_app Asks first

Fully uninstall one application and its leftover files by name. Only acts on a single exact match; if the name is ambiguous it returns candidates to confirm instead of guessing.

empty_trash Asks first

Permanently empty the user's Trash.
